Doubts in Your MSK Reports
Many radiologists hesitate before signing a report. Is it really a labral tear? What if I am wrong? Then you look at the case again, still same doubts. You might even put it aside and look at the case later in the evening or you want to show it to a colleauge... Just to be sure.
This is probably the most common scenario for radiologists that work with me in my coaching program, the Virtual MSK Fellowship. Doubts are the main symptom of a insufficient calibration in MSK and are cause by inconsistent training and feedback during residency. One consultant says "It is a tear." For the other consultant the same findings might be even just a "degeneration". This prevents proper calibration.

Slow Reporting Speed is A Symptom
If it takes you more than 10min to report an MSK MRI, you are below average in terms of speed (link to study) - as shown in this research article here. Being slow has consequences... the worklist is growing, you need to stay longer, might miss family dinner or work after the kids are asleep.
Speed is the second most common problem radiologist face when it comes to MSK MRI reporting. It gets complicate by limiting beliefs some radiologists have, that fast reporting is dangerous or speed of reporting is somehow an intrinsic quality of a radiologist. It is not. Slow reporting is a symptom and the reason is either lack of confidence or lack of systematic approach (or both).
Radiologists in my Virtual MSK Fellowship saw an average speed increase of 3.82x after the one year training with me. I can teach you how to at least double your reporting speed with better quality.
Lack of Feedback is a silent danger
You send out reports and never, ever hear back. How do you know you are delivering good work? Working in an empty vaccum is dangerous and can lead to unfulfilment as you might wonder what you are actually contributing. Are you good? Are you correct?
These are just some examples of thoughts that radiologists have if they work in a "no feedback" environment. You never know if what you write is correct. That leads to many missed learning opportunities and you don't progress in your skill. You can only assume. It is very prevalent in private practice and even more in teleradiology.

In-Person Fellowship
The traditional 'Gold Standard.' However, for many, relocating family and sacrificing a full attending salary is impossible. Furthermore, some institutions use fellows for service provision (ultrasound/interventions) rather than dedicated MRI training.
Mini Fellowships

2. Book your Strategy Session
This is your application for the MSK Fellowship. Book the free 1-on-1 session with Dr Agten or his team. During the call we will explore your situation, to make sure we can actually help you achieve your goal with the fellowship. If not, we will tell you on the call. If yes, we will discuss all the details and answer all your remaining questions so you can make an informed decision.
3. Invest in your career
